Daw Than Than Oo’s Plastic Recycling Business

This is one of our group loan client running a thriving eco-friendly business, Daw Than Than Oo. Her business emphases on using recycled plastic to mold into kitchen toys.

Prior to her first loan from LOLC Myanmar, she was manufacturing the products with a hand-pressed machine and after she had claimed her first loan, an amount of 500,000 MMK,she invested the loan to buy hydraulic machines to improve production.

Business was booming and she had wholesale regulars from within Yangon and out, she continued to the second loan cycle with an amount between 1,000,000 – 1,700,000 MMK to purchase raw materials to increase her productions with a variety of design and color. She proceeded to her third loan cycle, an amount of 5,000,000 MMK to purchase another hand-pressed machine.

Daw Than Than Oo then progressed to the fourth loan cycle, an amount of 5,000,000 MMK where she bought more machines to grow her business; she bought a drill machine and another hand-pressed machine.
